Rich wood furnishings, inviting colors and textures and soft fabrics combine to make the hospital experience at OakLeaf Surgical Hospital as close to home as possible for patients and visitors. Comfortable overstuffed chairs, large flat screen television, interesting artwork and quiet surroundings have been chosen with the needs of the patient and their family and friends in mind.
Doing everything we can to facilitate the fastest recovery possible in a comfortable and stress-free environment is always a priority for OakLeaf's professional team of physicians and staff. Quality in-room music and video systems, pampering personal care products and friendly concerned nursing staff contribute to an atmosphere that encourages rest and healing.
Being sick, worried, or uncomfortable can put a damper on one’s appetite. All meals at OakLeaf are individually prepared with the patient’s personal tastes, dietary needs and special requirements taken into consideration. Patients select from a Room Service menu that offers an array of entrees along with fresh fruits, vegetables, salads and bakery items. Eating nutritiously contributes to a speedy recovery. Eating foods that are pleasing to the palate can boost the spirit as well.
Many diet restrictions can be accommodated such as food allergy, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. Please inquire.
Friends and family may order from the menu and eat with the patient, or in The Bistro for a nominal fee. And, it’s not your imagination if you smell the aroma of fresh baked cookies emerging from the oven each afternoon and served with a smile by the chef in charge.
