Employee Testimonials

Oakleaf has a positive, tight-knit, family-like environment, where you are supported and provided with the resources to do your best. In my role as an Operating Room RN, I am involved in direct patient care, circulating in the OR as the patient’s eyes and ears during their procedure. At OakLeaf, you are valued and heard as an employee, and constantly able to do what is best for the patients. We are well-staffed, have flexibility, have wonderful management, work hard, and are growing. My perpetual need to keep learning more is always fulfilled as Oakleaf is an innovative facility. When you work for OakLeaf, you feel vested, and you want to do a good job because everyone matters here.

— Cindy Frese, OR RN, Oakleaf Employee Since 2011

I work at the registration desk, as a Health Information Management Specialist, to help get patients checked in for their surgeries. I work 40 hours a week and love those 40 hours that I spend here because my work is rewarding, and I am surrounded by good people. My position offers a variety of tasks and I have the opportunity to interact with patients, nurses, physicians who are all wonderful. The culture at OakLeaf is caring, positive, and overall outstanding. I stay with OakLeaf because I feel it in my heart that this is where I need to be and genuinely enjoy working here.

— Joy Partlow, Health Information Management Specialist, OakLeaf Employee Since 2009

I have been in environmental services for 19 years and counting and have been with OakLeaf for over 8 of those years. My crew and I cultivate and maintain environments of care, resulting in good outcomes for the company and the community. I feel peace in my role here as the staff at OakLeaf have an interdepartmental connectivity that is rare. As a small hospital, I believe we can focus on our services and achievements, as well as concentrate and celebrate our excellence.

— Matt Hering, Environmental Services Technician, OakLeaf Employee Since 2014

At Oakleaf the patients are number one. In my position as a Radiology Technician II, I complete a variety of imaging before, during, and after surgery. I operate the c-arm and portable in the operating room to assist during surgeries, complete post-op imaging after an orthopedic replacement, perform inpatient x-rays, and more. It is not about numbers at Oakleaf – You can spend quality time with your patient to give them the care you want to give. We are a smaller facility where everyone knows everyone, and the different departments work hard and help each other out. Oakleaf is home.

— Sam Bauer, Radiology Technologist II, OakLeaf Employee Since 2020
